Use the office that created the record you need. Harper County jail movement, a District Court order, a Kansas prison status, and a federal custody event belong to different custodians. The contacts below identify those official routes and the limits of each one.

This private website is not a government office and cannot confirm custody, order a release, pull an official file, or change an agency record.

County Jail Status

For a current Harper County Jail question or to distinguish release from transfer, call the Harper County Sheriff's Office at 620-842-5135. The Kansas Sheriffs' Association directory lists fax 620-842-3251 and renders the address as “115 . Steadman, Anthony, KS 67003.” Because the street entry is unclear and no official jail hours were found, confirm the entrance, spelling, and hours by phone before visiting.

County Records Request

Written Kansas Open Records Act requests go to the Harper County Clerk, 201 N. Jennings Avenue, second floor, Anthony, KS 67003. Call 620-842-5555 or email Clerk@HarperCountyks.gov. Published hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The county accepts requests in person, by mail, or by email and provides a record or written status response within three business days. Actual-cost fees may apply, so request an estimate.

Ask for the existing booking/release sheet, final release date and time, disposition, releasing authority, destination or transfer agency, and booking photograph if retained and public. The county's Clerk page links its request form.

Court and Probation Records

The Harper County District Court is at 201 N. Jennings Avenue, third floor, Anthony, KS 67003, with mail to P.O. Box 467. Call 620-842-3721, fax 620-842-6025, or email allcourt@harpercountyks.gov for docket, journal-entry, bond, sentence, probation, or discharge records. Court Services is 620-842-3586; Community Corrections is 620-842-5499. These are court-supervision contacts, not parole offices.

Kansas Corrections and Parole

KDOC Records Division can be reached at 785-746-7470; the general agency line is 785-296-3317, and public email is KDOC_Pub@ks.gov. The office address is 714 SW Jackson, Suite 300, Topeka, KS 66603. Harper County parole and postrelease cases are assigned to the Wichita Parole Office, 212 S. Market Street, Wichita, KS 67202, 316-262-5127.

For Prisoner Review Board process or existing decision-record questions, call 785-746-7516 or email KDOC_PRB_Public_Comment@ks.gov. A hearing calendar is not a release decision.

Kansas VINE supports specific county-jail custody checks and alerts at VINELink or 1-866-574-8463; TTY is 1-866-847-1298. It does not cover KDOC state-prison residents. The BOP locator handles federal prisoners, with general assistance at 202-307-3198. ICE's Detention Reporting and Information Line is 1-888-351-4024, Monday through Friday except holidays, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern.
